If you have an inventory system that says you have product in stock, and a customer makes a special trip to the store, places an order, pays for it,....but then finds when you get into the yard, that in fact they have NONE of the product, well your customers are not going to be happy !! This happened to my wife and I 4 times recently at Totem.
Red Wing has a computerized inventory system, and we do periodic full counts and weekly partial counts to try and keep it as accurate as possible. This is important, because when we say we can fit you properly, its important that we do have that 9.5 EEE in stock.........and not just in the computer, but actaully in a real box on the shelves !! It takes time to check inventory, but its better than upsetting you our customers when you discover we are out of the item you phoned for .
